Lodestar Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 7, 2026
In plain terms: we collect only what we need to prepare your confidential valuation, we use trusted providers to run our service, we never sell your information, and we never list or share your business with buyers unless you tell us to in writing. The details are below.
In this policy, "Lodestar," "we," and "us" mean Superhumancy LLC, doing business as Lodestar, 25 Main Street, Unit B, Sparta, NJ 07871. "You" means a visitor or business owner using our site or services.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us.
- When you start a valuation: your name, email, your trade or sector, your region, and approximate revenue.
- When you choose to go further: the financial and business information you provide for the valuation — which may include financial statements, tax information, and related operating details. You decide what to share and when; nothing financial is requested until after your confidentiality agreement is in place.
- When you contact us: anything you include in your messages.
Information we record automatically.
- Confidentiality acceptance: when you accept our Confidentiality Agreement, we record the acceptance as an event — the date and time, the version you accepted, and your device's IP address and browser type (user-agent). We keep this as evidence of the agreement and to help secure the process.
- Security and operations: our hosting and anti-spam providers process limited technical data (such as IP address) to keep the site running and to prevent abuse.
Cookies and similar. We use the functional mechanisms needed to run the intake securely (for example, to move you safely between steps) and an anti-spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile). We also use a Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel on our public pages to measure whether our advertising works. It records page visits and, if you submit your email address to receive your estimate, the fact that a signup occurred. We never share your diagnostic answers, your business's financial information, your valuation results, or any documents you provide with any advertising platform. Your confidential information stays between you and us, and we do not sell it.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- prepare and deliver your valuation, and communicate with you about it;
- keep a record of your confidentiality acceptance;
- protect the confidentiality and security of what you share, and prevent fraud or misuse;
- operate and improve our service; and
- comply with applicable law.
For advertising, we measure only what Section 1 describes — that a page was visited or a signup occurred, never the substance of what you share with us. We do not sell your information.
3. How we share — and don't
The confidentiality overlay. For the business and financial information you share during a valuation, our Confidentiality Agreement governs and adds protections beyond this policy. We do not list, market, post, or auction your business, and we never share your identity or information with a buyer or any third party — unless you specifically direct us to in writing.
Service providers. We use a small set of trusted providers to operate, who process information on our behalf and only as needed: hosting (Vercel), secure storage of your financial information and documents (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), record-keeping (Notion), and anti-spam (Cloudflare). They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if we are legally required to — for example, by a valid court order, subpoena, or government authority. Where we are legally allowed, we will tell you first and disclose only what is required.
Business transfers. If Lodestar is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to the commitments in this policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we protect your information
We limit access to your information to the people who need it for this work, and we protect it with reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but confidentiality is the core of what we do, and we treat your information accordingly.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and as required by law. We keep confidentiality acceptance records as a record of the agreement between us.
6. Your choices
You can contact us at Hello@withlodestar.com with any question about your information, or to ask us to access, update, or delete it. We will respond to reasonable requests and honor them where we are able and as required by law.
7. Children
Our services are for business owners and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
